The Flyway Highway Duck Truck
The Flyway Highway "Duck Truck" - For Sale!!!
This year's "Duck Truck" is a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab with the 5.7 Hemi engine. Now as you know from watching the "Duck Truck Upgrade" segments on our show, we've souped this baby up with a bunch of after market accessory items. Our goal was to make the "Duck Truck" the ultimate waterfowl hunting rig. We think we've pretty much accomplished that goal! Below is list of all the awesome aftermarket items we've added to the truck (with pictures and links to the manufacturer's websites).
This truck is now for sale so if you're interested contact Craig Foster at 630-267-1985.

Rhino Lining (rhinolinings.com) - Everyone knows Rhino Lining. We had the bed sprayed (of course) as well as the outside lower body panels and the front and rear bumpers. We'd never done the bumpers before and man does it look tough! We travel a lot of gravel roads (especially in Canada) and never have to worry about stone chips! Custom Painted Vehicles (www.cpvehicles.com) in Fransville, Wisconsin did a great job with the application.

AIRAID Filter Company (www.airaid.com) - We wanted our Hemi to breathe a little better so we had the folks at Airaid send us a cold air intake system. AIRAID intake systems are computer designed to give your engine maximum air flow, which means more horsepower, torque and improved fuel efficiency. Every AIRAID intake system is dyno tested and tuned to provide maximum performance and efficiency. Now our Hemi's really suck'n air!

Curt Manufacturing (www.curtmfg.com) - In order to be able to mount our Warn Multi Mount hitch to the front of our truck, we needed a front receiver. Curt Manufacturing makes some of the best receivers on the market. They sent us a class three 2" receiver rated for 500 pounds of tongue weight and 9,000 pounds of straight-line pulling. This is more than enough for our Warn winch. It was super easy to install and looks great!

CARR Truck Accessories (www.carr.com) - We needed a roof mounted light bar for our Vision X Off Road lights so we gave the folks at CARR a call. They sent us a light bar and it works great! They make a lot of cool stuff for trucks, SUV's and Jeeps so check out their web site.

Hypertech engine tuning products (www.hypertech.com) - We wanted to jack-up the performance of the 5.7 liter Hemi in our Dodge so naturally we turned to Hypertech. They sent us a Max Energy programmer. This product extracts every bit of energy possible out of every molecule of fuel giving you more miles at part-throttle and and more power at wide-open throttle (not to mention better gas milage). It's real simple to use and the results are definitely noticeable!

Magnaflow performance exhausts (www.magnaflow.com) - To further enhance our Hemi's output, we installed a cat-back performance exhaust system from Magnaflow. Not only does this system increase the horsepower, it sounds awesome! The stainless can and chromed dual tips look great as well. Our Hemi's really exhaling now!

Skyjacker suspensions (www.skyjacker.com) - It goes with out saying that you have to lift a hunting truck! Skyjacker supplied us with a really nice 4" suspension lift. These guys really know how to make lifts. Their quality and attention to detail is outstanding. And I'll tell you another thing, the folks at Skyjacker are some of the nicest, down to earth people we've ever dealt with. They're straight shooters and build a great product!

Thule (www.thule.com) - We needed a basket for the top of our Duck Truck. Not just any basket, but the "Mother Of All Baskets". That's right, that's what Thule calls this basket (M.O.A.B. for short). It's a great product, looks awesome, and now we have a place to put that big Goodyear spare tire!

Camoclad (www.camoclad.com) - We dressed up our rig with Camoclad on the hood, lower panels and part of our LEER cap. You have to have some camo on your hunting truck. It's un-American not to! Camoclad not only looks great but protects everything it covers from scratches and rock chips. Next year we might do the whole truck in it!

Goodyear Tires (www.goodyear.com) - We slapped a set of Goodyear Wranglers with Silent Armor Technology on our rig and love them! These tires have two steel belts and a third made out of Kevlar (that's right, the bullet proof stuff). The Kevlar is obviously super tough (pound for pound five times stronger than steel) and also provides a very quiet ride due to its sound absorbing qualities. Knobby mud tires that run quiet? Now that's what I'm talking about!

Bed Slide (www.bedslide.com) - This is probably the one upgrade to our Duck Truck that has made life on the road the easiest. With the Bed Slide, we don't have to crawl up into the bed of our truck to access our equipment. The Bed Slide is made to last and our model can hold up to 1200lbs. We highly recommend it!

Andersen Manufacturing (www.ultrahitch.com) - These guys make the best hitches we've ever seen! We use their Rapid Hitch and it's by far the most versatile, easy to use hitch on the market. The Rapid Hitch is the perfect hitch for anyone who tows multiple trailers. You can flip the double ball over, change the drop to a rise, or adjust the height of the drop all by simply removing the hitch pin and putting it back in place. With the easy height adjustment you can make sure you are keeping your trailer level. The various balls are easily changed by removing a hidden pin which attaches the ball to the ball housing. Awesome!

Waterfowldecals.com (www.waterfowldecals.com) - These guys make really cool decals to dress up your hunting rig. We put them on the back window of our LEER cap and they look great! You can order them right off their web site.

LEER truck caps (www.leer.com) - Most guys gotta have a cap for their pick-up. LEER is the way to go. They offer quality construction and lots of models to choose from! Our model #100 XQ is really nice. The coolest feature is how the locking mechanism for the glass hatch is wired to the truck so we can use the vehicle's keyless remote to lock/unlock it. Talk about convenient!

Hatchie Bottom Outdoor Products (www.hatchiebottom.com) - These high quality 3mm neoprene seat covers look great and fit perfectly. In my opinion they're the best available. If you have someone like Harold traveling with you that's constantly spilling stuff, you'll appreciate these seat covers! Available in Mossy Oak New Break-Up, Mossy Oak Shadowgrass, and Advantage Max 4 camouflage patterns.

Vision-X Off Road Lighting (www.visionxoffroad.com) - We wanted some kick-ass lights to mount on our N-Fab front end pre-runner and Carr roof mounted light bar so we called Joe at Vision-X Off Road Lighting. He hooked us up with some VX-6000's for the roof and VTX-8000's for the front. These bad boys light up the night like you wouldn't believe and have proved to be really valuable to us for illuminating fields when setting up decoy spreads! In addition to 4x4's, Vision-X also makes lights for off road racing, ATV's, UTV's, snowmobiles, dirt bikes and sand rails.

WARN Industries (www.warn.com) - We needed a winch for our truck so naturally we contact WARN. They sent us their 9.5ti Portable model. With 9500lbs of pulling power, this baby can get us out of any bad situations should we get stuck (like that nasty Arkansas "gumbo" mud we encounter every season). The cool thing about the 9.5ti Portable is that you can easily move it from the front to the back of your truck. You simply disconnect the "quick connect" coupler, pull the winch (on its carrier) out of the truck's receiver, and plug it in to the other end of the vehicle. It's that simple! The only extra part we needed was a front receiver which the nice folks at CURT Manufacturing sent us. The Warn 9.5ti Portable Winch is a slick set-up that you should definitely look into! We had the folks at Toys for Trucks (www.toysfortrucks.com) in Green Bay, Wisconsin do the install. They're Wisconsin's largest truck accessory retailer (locations in Green Bay, Appleton, Menasha, Oshkosh, Schofield and Greenville). They did a great job!
